2006 honda accord ex-v6 automatic help

What are my options to improve the performance of my car? Can we start from the mild upgrades to the major ones. I can see civic and integras being turboed but no accords yet. Is this because of its engine? (sohc)

1. What is my upgrade path? minor to major - ie. cold air intakes to turbo charging. (i update as the funds become available) pls put hp gains.

2. which is better for this car, supercharger or turbo charger?

3. If I put air intakes, will it be compatible if i decide to put a turbocharger on it later?

4. I cant pass up to ask this silly question, lets say if I have 8 grand, will it be better to spend it on upgrades on this car or just put it as a downpayment for a 1998 c5 corvette with above 50k miles on it.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on your accord, you would be better with a Civic, Integra, S2000 or even a prelude which have more potential and will be a better handling car when finished.
I'm not a fan of Corvettes unless it's a newer one, 2006+

Would a cold air intake help a bit in the hp increase? (for my 2006 accord) by how much hp? would it affect the mileage?

I have been doing a bit of research lately, what about an acura rsx- type s vs. a 2006 civic si? I think I can find cheaper acura rsx-type s second hand. The one that is keeping me from buying the civic si (new ones) is that I read about its transmission problems, ie grinding 2nd gear and 3rd gear pop outs. Are they true? and if so, can they be remedied by your shop in case I buy them?

A cold air intake on your accord will increase power, maybe 6-10hp.

IMO you would be better buying a RSX-S and modifiy it, there's so much more potential with the K motor .
Most problems with the 06-07 Civic Si is from "pilot error", meaning people are shifting the car too hard or power shifting. This will damage any tranny, The 06-07 Civic Si is a great platform but is going to cost you more than a RSX-S and is a little heavyier.
The RSX would be my choice .

How old can I go with the RSX? ie what year? Do I go as far as 1998? how much is the mileage without getting into so much repairs ie. 75k miles? Does it matter if it is manual or automatic? Is the word "type -S" important in considering an RSX?

Is the limited slip differential on the Si an advantage to the RSX-S?

dont get an rsx without getting the "type s"

RSX manual only, and Yes ,get the Type S.
Lowest milage is always better, but as long as it's been taking care of, don't be afraid of miles on a Honda.
2002 to 2004 will be the cheaper model RSXs.

they didnt make rsx in 98, they started in 02
