Any shock where the coil spring fits "over" the shock is a coilover. Adjustable coilovers can be set for different ride heights.

So are you saying that the ebay coilovers are now blown out?

I know how to measure a suspension so the ride height can be set
without killing the shocks. If the shocks are just weak, and not
leaking, we might be able to rebuild them.-Bob

I know some people who have had good luck with Tokicos, but everyone has their own opinion.

Springs that are too soft will allow shocks to bottom out. Springs that are too hard lose grip in the turns. That's why I usually recommend spring rates close to stock, since that is what the car was designed to use.-Bob

IMO, Koni Yellows go very well with H&R's, Plus the Yellows are adjustable and are very well built to take some abuse without blowing...... As long as you use Bump Stops!!!

I ran Yellows on my '99 Integra & My '05 Jetta GLI with H&R Race Springs.
Very comfortable ride and no issues at all.
