Ford Forum Meet At The U.S. Nats @ BMP ( Jan 25-27 )

I am going to be able to get in the track on the Wednesday before this big race and set up my canopy / easy-up for everyone to use and rope off some area for chairs near the fence too. Not sure where it will be yet but I will post it up as soon as I stake out our area. :D

Anyhow just giving everyone the heads up so you can make plans to come down to the event. It is going to be 1/8th mile this year for the first time and from what the track tells me that have a ton of pre-entries already !

Here is some info. on the race and post up if you are going to come and hang out and what day. I will have my gas grill ther on Sat and Sun. if anyone wants to use it.

General Admission~
Friday (single day) Spectator Gate Only: $20
Saturday (single day) Spectator Gate Only: $25
Sunday (single day): $25
Saturday/Sunday (two day): $50
Friday/Saturday/Sunday (three day): $60
Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Sunday (four day): $70
Swap Meet: General admision + $20


Thursday~
Pit gate open: 8am
Tech: Noon to 5pm
Test session ($50 tech card): 1 to 6pm


Friday~
Pit gate open & tech: 8am
Spectator gate open: 9am
Qualifying #1: 2pm

Saturday~
Pit gate open & tech: 8am
Spectator gate open: 8am
Qualifying #2: 10am
Qualifying #3: 2pm

Sunday~
Pit gate open: 8am
Spectator gate open: 8am
Eliminations: 10am

Should be interesting doing the 1/8th mile thing. I know some of the cars that aren't normally competative will be loving the 1/8 rather then 1/4.

I went, saw one or two good passes in the low 4's... pretty boring though.

Not while I was there... we left just after the 3rd qualifying session after the drag radial cars ran. So around 3 pm is when we left, no rain but I think it probably rained afterwards because I caught it coming home before the Skyway.
