Another CEL thread [Archive]

I recently (about a month or so ago) installed a shorty downpipe on my LGT, it replaces the precat but utilizes the 2nd half of the stock pipe and cat. The other day I was driving and got a CEL, and had it pulled today. It ended up being a P0420:Cat inefficiency blah blah blah... My question is, the code is from the downpipe mod correct? Any hurt driving with it the way it is?

Snow if you are reading this, I will need a tune ASAP.

i don't think it would hurt but don't get on it (i don't think you do anyway). I believe it is from a higher flowing down pipe. It's the exhaust code on the wrx/sti.
