Well i blew my motor back in about march of 07 saved up cash got a motor built by lancerman and a tranny took the parts to a shop to get the new motor put in. the day finally came where they called and the car was ready..i also told them i needed my a/c fixed and that there was a leak. day of pick up..started the car...made a funny freaking sound. i was told then by the mech. " its your starter that usually happens when your car sits." i think fine he knows more then me. after a 1k break in my clutch starts acting funny. i figure its my slave. then it gets worse. cant even shift into gear.

one of my boys looks at it says hes seen this prob its the clutch. so i figure ok i dont like my clutch anyways. take it to another shop, when they take out the tranny they realize first off that the dowel pins on the block side are missing, and say thats why the clutch was fucked. the springs on the disk ate their way out. called up the shop that did the install..they said hey it doesnt need the dowel pins its held in place with bolts. im thinking then why the hell did mitsu make it part of the plan. then i went to tampa clutch to pick up a kit..and explained..he said ohh definetly if your missing the dowels on the block.that will happened he showed me a disk that had the same prob...the shop just said hey were sorry but our years of experience,,we know it wont matter with those. and we are sorry for not asking to put them in..because my stock blown block damn sure had the pins, they could have swapped. so after spending 700+ for a new clutch kit and install and some other things. the car shifts good got the dowel pins put in thanks to a real dude i know. ohh and that noise that my starter was supposedly making is gone.. not to mention my a/c leaked a week later after getting the car which i was charged 275+ for a basic refill. and they just cost me a whole setup and install. also, found by the shop that redid the clutch..some subframe bolts were left out.. 2xfer bolts were missing one got stripped, morotr mount bolt missing..hmmm i think they forgot about quality..and im pretty pissed cuz all i got was a sorry.
i was actually thinking about bringing it back to them thank god i didnt. now im not trying to bash no one..but this is a real experience. i feel it needs to be known. i work hard for my cash and like my car proper. i wonder now if all those who recommend them really had work done..or are just friends from back in the days. either way. im not angry i wasnt expecting them to say hey let us pick up the tab. but i got a rotten taste. that doesnt make them bad either as people. but i thnk they should focus on the quality thanks for your time to those who read this.

I not sure there is a point in posting your experience with a mystery shop.

Hes not giving them a bad name on a forum for everyone to read. But this is the second time two problems my friends have had, both with transmission problems.
