Default Just bought a 302

A friend of mine had a 302 laying around that he was going to put i his truck but never got it. He needs money so he said if I gave him 200 I could have it. It come with the wiring harnes ecu and AOD.Im going to get a 94 95 k-member and pt it in my 97 over the summer.I figure i would just freshen it up and put some nice heads on it with a nice cam. But I dont think im going to go EFI but rather carb'd.The motor had 150xxx miles on it. What do you think?

well sounds like you already made out really nice. good luck on it. my .02 is i would keep it fuel injected, but i guess if your gonna want to turn it into a bit of a drag car then go carb. i might be able to help you on that if i get this other motor or not.

Is that motor from a truck? If it is, you gonna have some problems.

What year is the motor. And you will have to cut the pistons to run that big of a cam. remember a big cam doesn't always equal power. It will sometimes hurt power. You have to choose a cam that works with your combination.
