Sirius/XM radio

I am really looking into either as an alternative for the lack of radio stations where I live. I haven't really been able to find info from actual owners other than reviews from cnet and a few other tech websites. Any of you audio gurus use either XM or Sirius radio and have some input on them?

I have both, and haven't listened to regular radio in about 3 years. Which is better...They are in the process of merging, and will both be the same, soon. In the meantime, I like Sirius, mainly because they carry NFL network.

Well, based on what the "masses" are purchasing, Sirius is the way to go. We are authorized installers on both of their "Installernet" programs and we get about 4-5 Sirius installs per week from the main office, compared to maybe 1 XM install per week. I personally like the Sirius also. XM is in severe financial trouble so they have "snuck in" tons of commercials. The only customers that seem to really swear by them is the ones who follow Baseball (they have the MLB contract or whatever). Sirius has everything else (Nascar, NFL, Hockey, and so-on. Sirius-ly...

I have both...... I would go sirius but like TJElite said they are merging. But in the meantime Sirius is better.

Actually, they are up against a ton of heat from both the FCC and the government due mainly to the fear of a monopoly. So in the meantime, neither company is profitable and going in seperate programming directions. I too would like to see them merge and hope the feds get off their azzez and let it happen. I think we would benefit from some really great technological advances (streaming video, programming with picture, etc). They have the technology to bring it to the consumer, but neither has the finances to completely roll it out until after the merger.

sirius ftw... i have 2 units one permantly installed on my volvo and the other a take in and out of my truck.

ps go with one that has the playback function.. soo cool to be able to relisten to what you heard.
