Free roll Cage!

I am offering some lucky person free roll cage. I have been welding and machining for about 5 years now. I have been repairing roundy round race cars for about 2 now.

I have the welder, the bender, the notcher all you need is to supply the car and the metal (should be around 100-250 depends on what you want to do.


Please let me know. PM me up and give me a story about why you want to have a free roll cage.

Hey man,

Well I dont have a sob story or anything LOL :) But I could really use a Roll Cage. I run awd-turbo.com and we are a small Tampa based Rally Team and I just picked up a 2001 Subaru Impreza to use as our new team car in place of our old Eagle Talon TSi.

We are not a big team and have no sponsership (yet!!!) so almost everythign comes out of my pocket. Right now im trying to find someone to fix the transmission due to a few naughty gears. Roll Cage is somethign we deffinatly need in the car and having one at the cost of only materials would be great. We had someone donate some harnesses and racing seats for the car, but I wanted to hold off until the cage was put in. I have been putting money away for the work that needs to be done on the car and with that I can afford the materials.

I would appreciate it greatly and even leave teh car with you until you are done. And as a thank you I will post pics of your work on our site and give out information (if you want) so others can contact you for welding/fab work. And lastly, I cant give out any real details yet, but lets just say your cage will be used in a very large rally event in Florida that will be coming up (zips lips)

I want a roll cage b/c my cousin pookie used to race a honda odessy. One day, he raced this skyline and since he was smoking it, the skyline decided it was going to hit pookie on the side and make him lose. Pookie hit his ejection seat and flew out of the odessy cockpit. Upon coming down to the ground there was DMX waiting for him along with some fighting dogs. DMX made the dogs go after pookie and pookie hauled ass down some docks by the water trying to lose the dogs.

As it turned out the docks were a dead end, and pookie was surrounded. But there were some dolphins in the water and they jumped out of the water and defended pookie from the dogs who were so surprised, they cowered down and went home. So after pookie thanked the dolphins, they said they wanted a three-some with him and that he would have to join in b/c of their protection. Well, pookie did not like sea-vag, so in the nick of time, he grabbed this rope that came out of nowhere in the sky.

It was a US army helicopter that was doing some surveying. They saw the predicament pookie had gotten into and had decided to help. Pookie went along and got drunk with the boys and passed out. Upon waking up he was tied up to a tree in some forest. apparently some chipmunks wanted his gonads for soup. He talked a lot of shit while working on his rope trying to loosen it. When the chipmunks came in for the kill, he let out a big old meaty fart, and the chipmunks passed out. He used their pocket knife to let himself free.

finally while walking back to the highway, pookie hitched a ride from a group of transvestites, who were driving a wrc car with no cage. As the trannys passed around drugs, and sucked each other off, pookie had to drive while they were all high. He had never driven that type of car before so he decided to take it out in some local dirt roads. As he did that, he pissed of jesus, who in turn dropped a midget in pookies lap causing him to lose control and flip the car with no roll cage, thus killing him, the trannies, and the midget who was attempting to give him head at the time.

And thats why I want a roll cage.

BTW, 100 feet of 1 5/8" OD .120" wall DOM will cost you around $500. This should be enough for a full SCCA-Legal 6-point cage with tight fitment.

I called shenanigans in Ford Tech on this post because we never got any response(s) to the questions that were asked... I have a 10-point MS cage from ART that I would have liked installed for free...

However, I agree w/some of the others - I think the integrity of the work is definitely something that should be shown and proved before anyone agreeing to having this person do the work. I'm not saying you'll get a terrible job - but I'm also not sure that it would behoove you to save the couple hundred dollars to have it done "free" versus the guaranteed protection of having it done at/by a professional chasis shop...

I met some serious car owners at the AE Power Expo this past weekend, and they'd had their cages done at N/B/S Racing (No Bull Shit Racing). And the work I saw in those cars was phenomenal, FWIW.

AND I also think the "Awd-Turbo.Com" guys deserve the cage - sounds like they're willing to go the extra mile to do something for the installer in return for his craftsmenship.
