Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money.

Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets.

Each Alpha 6 will be seeing about 50-60rms.

Each Alpha 12 will be seeing 160-170rms.

Flame, drool, do what you will. Just though Id give an update. Will be buying the amps either tomorrow or the next day most likely.

If you could figure out how to get that all up front in something, it would be really impressive...midbass that would crush your chest! 60 watts on a 111db/1w tweeter is scary.

If you don't f it all up, and don't play crap music, this could actually sound pretty good, at modest volumes. Stuff like acoustic guitar sounds awesome on really big midrange speakers. But, since you'll probably f it up and play shitty crunk crap at obscene volume, you can disregard this paragraph :-)

You think my install will be shit? Did you see my last system? Its just Im getting some way louder bass and need way louder mids/highs to keep up. I like hearing the vocals loud and clear over the bass.

And I plan on putting the 4 12s behind you in a slanted sealed box. Just to get a little midbass punch. Im sure when I crank it up, the tweets will sound harsh. At medium volumes it will sound great. I had the last setup with the 8 Eminence 6s and 4 Eminence tweets. You heard it at the Tampa Grand Prix... Sounded just fine, right Toby?

And yep, all ran off the DEH-880PRS. I got a nice Clarion EQ also, so I can EQ it until Im happy. Also have all the time alignment and active crossovers I need.

Me, Mike, and Im sure Johnny and Large Mike will come down and help out too.

We all work on the enclosure construction, and whatnot.... I can do woodwork just fine. I can run wires, wire batteries, hook any crap up no problems. Ive built quite a few boxes and they all came out great, done some installs for friends and they came out great also, but Ive just never done any vinyl or trim pannels. I want to learn how this time around.

Hmmm... PA stuff not bad if its tuned right.. You can get very nice sound out of them if they are...

i did 4 dayton 6's mids and 2 pyramid bullets in each door in my old civic.. here is a pic of the door panel. I had the bullets on a old skool california 300 watt amp and the 6's on a Eclipse 600 watt 4 channel. They used to scream when i had them.. Also had a nice clarion EQ to tune on the go...
