Ok, I cannot even begin to figure how angry I am now, but doing one of the only constructive things I can in this situation-
My dad was trailering my 1969 Mustang GT sportsroof, teal in color up from S FL along I-95. SOMEHOW, it managed to come off without their knowing. Anyway, there is a loose 1969 Mustang running around on I-95. I am hoping at best minimal damage. No reports from FHP or local jusridictions have come in either, so at least it didt seem to cause any accidents. So I know a lot of Floridians are on here, so please please, keep your eyes peeled, especially on I-95, covering pretty much from Hollywood to Jacksonville. Thanks for ANY help!

Hmm, that deffinately bites. Hope you get it back. On the trailer and everything too. Someone probably either saw a great oppertunity to pick up a car or one to scoop of a free trailer...

actually that 69 in the pic isn't in bad shape from first blush...seen a lot worse go for $$..

as for the story  no way in hell you wouldn't feel that thing drop off of the back.. not like it's "KITT" rolling out of the back of a semi or something....

the ass end would hit and cause the trailer and truck to get all sorts of squirley...

doesn't make sense, we almost lost a car off a trailer. When the rear wheels hit the ground we knew right away when the load shifted off the trailer. I believe it was a 3500 seris so it wasnt like a weak suspension where you would feel it real bad. He must have felt something. good luck hope its just a bad joke your dad is playing on you.

didn't read the thread, but that's gotta be some kind of prank. What kind of idiot would haul something and never glance back in the rear view? Hell, what kind of idiot drives AT ALL without occasionally glancing in the rear view??

Found it in Edgewater, Fl.

Was found same day it was lost and stated it was in a minor accident.

If this ever happens the first thing to do after the ploice report is contact the gas stations you stopped at and take a look at thier camera's. Should be able to tell between what points you lost and narrow the search a good bit.
How things like this happen I have no idea. They must have no even bothered to strap it down and just relyed on the trans being in park. That might wor for hauling it a few blocks but if you ever bother to hit the highway without some straps or other form of securing it then you must be and idiot.
