Default Help installing an aftermarket RPM guage

Hey, My friend is installing an aftermarket RPM guage in his 98 Mirage LS and he cant locate the ignition wire. I have searched and some threads were talking about a white wire with a gray line that is located on the pass side of the car that is not connected to anything.

We tried it with that, and it didnt work. Anyone have any experience with Mitsu? Im a honda guy and hondas have distributers lol.. THis one dosent seem to have one.

Thanks in advance.

On a dsm you tap the white wire on the power transistor plug.
I am not sure if that is the same on a mirage. What motor does it have.

The 4G93. We already got it. IT seems to come from the ECU. Thanks for the help.
