Roll cage blue prints?

I was just wondering if any one had any good sites with roll cage blue prints for pipe bending angles ect. preferably a 10 point cage but anything will do I guess. I have access to pipe and pipe bender and a buddy of mine welds I just can't find any blue prints anywhere online. Thanks guys. any info on sizing a roll cage in a car and buildign it would be good too.

It would probably be cheaper and easier just to order one from some company. I know the s&w are $160 for a 8 pt bar in ERS thick wall steel

the cage should be made based off of the car...I've helped with making several cages and never once used a blue print.

The safe drive cages that I've installed were loose fitting...they weren't tucked close to the chassis at all...my biggest dislike about them was the main hoop not being close to the roof or the b-pillars...really sloppy cage.

I would look at the rules for whatever class I might be racing in. They sometimes require certain things, or certain styles, thicknesses, materials, gussets and/or braces.

I want that bar as close to the car roof, and as far up from my head as possible, so if I go over, the bar hits instead of my helmet.

I would bend the pipe, so that it is almost a tight press-fit. Pre-builts
can't always do that and still have an easy bolt-on/bolt-in kit that the average bolt-on guy can install.

I would weld all the pipes fully around, even if I had to cut the roof.-Bob

There are rather cheap programs that you enter a couple of key dimensions into a template and it gives you the angles andlenghts between each bend. The program I use is called Bend tech EZ. Costs about $50. Works well for main hoops and stuff like that but for the rest of the car I just eyeball and measure.
