we were on schedule for a 9 run event so everything went as smooth as could be expected. 34 cars competed, we were able to get 5 timed runs for everyone, 3/4 of the way finished the second group of runs we had a driver spin and take out the timing light.. almost yours truly, actually he did spin into a Puddle, while I was able to get out of the way in time, the mud soaked water drenched me to the bone, bummer. so all those runs were thrown out and will not be scored.
please give your input, did you enjoy the track touring during lunch?
was bernie's hotdogs, hamburgers and sandwhiches good? should I bring her back
most importantly did everyone have a good enough time to want to come back in 2 months? should I start planing for early march?

I like the food, it was good when you hadnt eatn all day, I dont know what else she served though as far as sandwhichs.. I think my two friends that came out with their wives are going to attend the next event there.

I had a great time watching the event. I can't speak for my wife, but I'll definately make it out for the next event to hopefully participate with the Mustang. Should have the motor done by then.

If you're looking for results, they are attached to this post. Please spread the word, link to this post if you need to. I'm not sure of all the locations where Jeff posted announcements for the event.

I had a good time. I love trying new things, though I was a bit hesitant at first with this event because I thought it would be too hard on my car.
The morning runs were great. I was driving an open diff, stock tire RWD car and it was a challenge to put down even half my 120whp. Smooth is fast, look ahead, keep your right foot in check because sideways is slow (but fun). I was slow, but I got faster over the course of my five runs so I'm happy. It's a completely different driving experience than Auto-X or any other pavement racing.
I'm kinda glad the afternoon runs were thrown out. By the afternoon the ruts were so deep and the course was so rough that I focused on avoiding beating up my car rather than driving fast. I wasn't looking ahead because I was looking right in front of the car at the ground, and I picked lines based on where the ground was still in good shape rather than speed. And the track portion was crazy- I tried to push it through the chicane on one run but found I had no steering at all. I really didn't want to mow over a cone and make somebody run out there to put it back, so I gunned it to steer the car on the throttle. That sent me headed generally toward the wall- I tried to steer, nothing, I tried to hit my brakes- nothing. So I just floored it and got the back to dig in and snap back the other way to scrub speed and get me headed away from the wall. After that I took it really easy on the track section, too.
I'm definitely going to do another one, though I don't know if it will be the next one. Have to see how it works with the autocross schedule and my plans to run one driving event every 4-6 weeks.

You've definitely converted me! I'll begin working on the mods to the rail buggy to run the next event.

All of your classing and time questions are answered in the results links that Kenny posted.
I don't think Jeff has the next Rallycross firmly scheduled yet. The next TSD rally is January 26th. Details Here (http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/auto-x-road-racing/446393-tarmac-tease-t-sd.html)

thanks for the info..
I was looking for a spreadsheet. I need to get into the PDF mindset.
So is it common to place by the overall times added up? VS taking the time of the best run?
I see it was 70 - 80 sec per run. So how long was the course. It does look fun.. Once I get a car with some suspension travel.

I wasn't there, so I can't answer questions about the event... check out the photos, though! The course ran part of the oval and the infield, and the area surrounding the track... pretty creative.
Rallycross scoring is normally a cumulative time of all of your runs. This sort of equates it to stage rally where you get one shot at each stage and each stage counts. Consistency pays big dividends in rallycross... of course, being consistently FAST pays even bigger dividents!

The morning "Short" course was run on the paddock road and grass "drain field" at east bay roughly .5 miles. the afternoon I added the track portion (infield was still too mucky to drive on) those runs were closer to 1 mile, but none of them got scored, I have designed a "full" course at east bay if the weather cooperates which is 1.4 miles.

Great event Jeff, I had a good time.
I'm glad you didn't get run over, I was wondering what happened. I would love to know though how my times compared to the other guys in my group in the afternoon runs.
The track touring was a lot of fun, I could not imagine how it would be if it was dried out.
The Hotdog cart was better than I expected. If you get her back you need to get her there sooner. Easily an hour earlier would have worked.
Count me in, Feb or March is good.
I was able to get out of the way in time, the mud soaked water drenched me to the bone, bummer. so all those runs were thrown out and will not be scored.

I had good fun. Hopefully I'll have a different car to start working with soon. A little bit smoother course would be cool but hey its rally so you encounter everything I guess. I will most definatly try to attend next time too.
