On the topic at hand, I know about the missing pics, it wasn't intentional, it was a bug in the software we are using and with luck I can recover most of it. there will be some stuff missing and there isnt much I can do about that.

I've gotten several nice PM's about it asking what was up instead of running off into the Ford forum to have a hissy fit about it. With any luck I can copy back the 15+ gb of pics and get it working right again by the weekend. Typically we backup the DB nightly but the files on the file system only get a backup when we make major changes to them, which happened about 4 months ago. I'll merge the backup from then with what we have now and probably 80% of the pics should be back.

Good to know. And, in my know-it-all opinion, from someone who ALSO deals with this shit on a daily basis, you need to start coming to terms with the facts that there are limits to the shrink-wrapped software you built TR/TF on, and you're reaching them. Maybe its time for something a bit more customized.

There are many places on the net to look at porn, the email about the pic that was deleted was part of a thread that moderators participated in about "hahah look at this monkey mouth vagina tattoo" If its so god damn offensive it should have been deleted about 1 year ago.

I am personal friends with alot of the people who participate on this particular part of this forum. which i why i made a post in here. I guess you feel like you made a boo-boo or you would not have participated in this post.

I will begin to use a differenet place to store my photo's since i cannont rely on sharing them with my real world friends who also participate here in ford tech.

And there is more wrong with the Gallery than you think and since it's public, the pics have to fit in with what the General public would view as non-offensive. The pics that are posted in there reflect on this website and all it's users and owners. We want to represent ourselves well.
Besides, the Gallery has seen more traffic since you posted this thread than it has in years, so thanks for that.
