I want to build a decent alarm system just wondered what i should start with.
I'd like to start with a nice DEI unit that will allow me to add things onto it like a window breakage detector, and other add ons. Just wanted to see what a good module to build up is. Thanks
My personal favorite is still the old standby-the 791XV. They have come out with newer systems (we have installed many of them also) but they keep producing this unit because it is their workhorse. I never have comebacks, it is priced right, and can support tons of extra stuff through a series of remote keypad touches. Of course the easiest is automated windows and door poppers, but basically anything you can imagine you want, it can be done and programmed with this alarm. I have installed it on RV's and set it to kick the generator on every 30 minutes so the AC units come on for the owners pets while parked and away, I have installed it on Verizon's gas limo golf cart (still not sure why-they just wanted it), installed it on a mobile show trailer for a lighting company and they adapted it to run a demonstration light show on their fiberoptic display through the keypad, and adapted it to almost every vehicle on the road. It is still the number one selling remote start alarm system in the US (our number one selling alarm too).
