Using photoshop,

Image>Adjustments>Desaturate

Use the history brush over the part you want color to change it back.

Using photoshop,

Image>Adjustments>Desaturate

Use the history brush over the part you want color to change it back.

Thats how i do it.

Layer -> New Adjustment Layer -> Saturation.. Desaturate all of your colors.

Create layer mask, use selection tool or Select -> Color Range to make your selection and delete from the layer mask.

That's my preferred method because it allows you to go back at any point in time and adjust and/or remove the effect completely.

I <3 Color Accent mode on my Powershot lol. I dont have to do desaturate the picture unless there is another object thats a similar color.
