Default Making chrome trim black

I just got an 02 Crown Vic, black with black tint, and its got chrome trim around the windows and under the tail lights. I can probably get the taillight trim from a junkyard, but finding black trim for the windows has proven hard to find, so I'm wondering if there's a way to paint it or something, and make it look good? Thanks.

yes if you remove it you can scuff it and paint it
or just use some black out trim tape

i used this blackout tape stuff on one of my old cars and it turned out good, it just covered the chrome and looked like black plastic, and it was durable and didn't fade or peel or anything. i got it from discount auto parts, it was in the section by the pin stripping, not sure if they still have it or not though bc that was like 8 yrs ago.
