I got some email spam a few months ago notifying me that I need to add my name to the do not call list for cell phone users. I posted it up just to be safe and was quickly told to check snopes.com and that it was not going to happen.

Well recently my wife had just started getting telemarketers calling her phone from restricted numbers etc. I told her "that is why I don't give my number out at stores or basically anywhere". She just gave me a dirty look. That was just a couple of days ago. Now I am starting to get calls from telemarketers!

For my home phone, back when I had one, I wrote a couple of letters and mailed them off to have my home number removed so I wouldn't get those annoying calls.

It looks like I'm going to have to figure out how to get the numbers on my cel phone account removed from the call lists of telemarketers.

Great find Chris! We've changed our service provider here at the house recently, and have had NON STOP telemarketers since. We used to have that "call-intercept" feature on our old providers service. The new one didn't provide it, so THANKS FOR THE LINK! :D

How long did it take you to stop getting the calls?

Hell yea!

One week. Then, if they keep calling, you can threaten a lawsuit....that'll stop them for sure. :D
