On Saturday March 24th there is an Autocross put on by the Sunriders Miata Club held at the St. Pete Junior College. It usually has a really good turnout and it is lots of fun. Heres a link for directions... http://www.sunriders.com/calendar.html

DUH! In my haste I thought it was on the 25th (same day as Show-n-Shine). Well Im working but maybe I will show up. Alright! Auto-X on Saturday S-N-S on Sunday!!! Perfect.

well actually like all autocrosses its a two day evetn.. sat being a limited entry clinic for the sunriders.. we cant get into the saturday one.. but its the SUNDAY one thats open access... so yeah..its either auto-x or S-N-S.. unless we can persuade a date change for S-N-s... http://www.tamparacing.com/ubb/smile.gif

bleh at the show n shine all people are going to do is park and eat. Why not park and eat at the Sunriders event?? At leat youll have something enjoyable more enjoyable to watch than flame seared animal flesh being layed upon bread.

Are you sure? I just got this from there site it doesnt say anything about sunday.

Saturday March 24 2001 : SunRiders Autocross Series 2001 event number two. Registration starts at 8:00AM drivers meeting at 10:00. Registration closes at 9:30. Be there before 9:30 or be a spectator! This is a great way to improve your driving skills in a place where you cant get a ticket and you cant hurt your car. If you are not a member of the SunRiders you are still welcome to participate. You dont even have to own a Miata any type of car can come. Cost will be $25 and that will include a lunch. Spectators can eat lunch with us for $5. Call Jonathan Skinner at 727-784-5529 for more details. A few helmets will be available for rental for $5.

Speed_Daemon1 youre correct...the Autocross is only on Saturday its not a two day event. And its open to anyone not just Sunrider members. Im not a member by the way...

Uh yeah and I went to High School with you or something like that....yeah. :rolleyes:

So lets get this straight. Next Saturday is the Autocross. There isnt even a Sunday schedule for it this time so the SNS is safe.

Ive been to a few of theirs....theyre cool. I cant wait- new springs and swaybar! i just need to find a helmet....

thats so odd that they would change their regimen.. oh well.. then it works out for the better!! auto-x AND S-N-S kick ass!!!

The original date was the 18th but that got changed to this saturday. Not sure why...but o well. I might make it (if I dont pull the motor in the Si this weekend.)

There will be a mini gran prix at MSCC (Orlando) on April 8th...but more details on this tomorrow.

Were any of you at Macdill? Did you see that Lightning truck run? What did you think?

I missed Macdill decided to go to VCC in Orlando to race that day.

Yep...this Saturday is the autocross. Anyone going??? Ive been teying to get some people going so well see what the turnouts like. BTW saw the new Impreza WRX today...looks pretty nifty!!

that thing was bad ass....it did fairly well. made me want to run my sentra in it. that implala was impressive as well
