i have one of those G-tech pro meters and tried it out on my GTA and came up with these results : 1800rpm launch with M/T sportsman pros was pointless i spun instanly waisting 1st. gear and had let off early due to lack of straight road which fucked up E.T and netted me a 13.34@ 99.6. so i tried it again with out stalling it up and kinda bogged at first then broke loose again. this time i able to complete a 1/4 mile my time was 12.94@110mph.i figured a good set of tires would ensure traction ...boy was i wrong. so i was thinking a good set of BMR lcas and a an air bag should do the trick. does any body know any old school tricks that would work instead of spending more money. i have a set of S/F connectors in the garage i still have to put in would that help???
thanks yall

best time with a G-TECH was 12.9 @ 110mph spun first & stock TB...not bad i guess????

The airbag would work good but some traction bars would be great subframes cant hurt either.

hey 87GTA355

You need some HAL adjustable shocks set at 0 up front to get some body motion when you take off.

I wouldnt rely too much on the G-Tech. It only works reasonably well when you dont spin at all otherwise the numbers really get skewed as you can see in your 2 mph results.

If you can take off without spinning the G-Tech normally shows 1 tenth and 5 mph fast from what youd see at the track. Ive done many track runs with the G-Tech and its pretty consistent that way.

are far as body motion goes my struts are so wore out that i rock the car my self and after 2-3 bounces the front tire can almost get off the ground...yeah i know pretty pathetic :). i was plannig on putting regular struts and shocks in it instead or drag specific kind i would like the car to retain reasonable handling characteristics.
so what exactly do you mean about the G-tech meter since i spun was i actually going slower than 12.9 here something youll get a kick out off. i ran it on my girlfriends 94 Z28 and spun clean up into part of 3rd gear i ran 15.01@105.3 but i can run down and pass a new 260HP GT and stay even with a cobra after spinning offa light :) surely its no 15.o Z.
i cant for the life me get that car to hook (my GTA) stupid me figured that since it dead hooked w/ a 305 that i wouldnt have any problems with a 350.
so here the wish list folks :) better LCAs hal adj/shock(cost dependent) put in my s/f/cs and an air bag :p i hope girlfriend reads this..LOL
