TSi what all does your car have done to it? Because somebody told me that you just cranked up the boost and that was it. I couldnt believe that.

You can follow the link BELOW ME to my web site and check out the list of mods there. I ran in the mid 13s with a very basic setup (K&N Cat-back 20 psi) but since Im really pushing it on my stock turbo Ive only gained half a second with my more recent mods ( Front mount intercooler Larger injectors Apexi S-AFC complete intercooler piping). I have been waiting 4 MONTHS now for my new turbo. I PAID for it in April and have been very patient with the vendor. If/When I get it I expect all the recent mods will fall into place with some tuning and I will be looking for 11s. Then we will see how the Time Bomb holds up.

Thats cool. I wish I could make my car faster for less money. For some reason (I think it is because of weight) the integra takes more CA$H to get it up to speed. I have put nearly $4000 into my car and I only achieve low 15s. Its really kind of sad. Still if I hadnt of gotten the integra I would have probably got a TSI AWD. It just seems so awesome to be able to dump the clutch and jump off to such a good lead!

I hope by next year I should have it TurboCharged then it should be a little bit faster.

I hope someday just to get in the 12s. Thats as fast as I want to go. 12.9

I think I am going to go down to EurostreetGraphics and have them make me a couple Tamparacing.com Stickers. I am going to have it in a different font to fit my cars personality. Ill show you what it looks like after I go down there and if you like it you can have them mass produced or something.

Because I want the sticker on my car so people know but I want one that is more edgy and has a sharper personality.

Also isnt your best time a 13.1? Or did you make it down to the 13 flat.

APEXi LS/R I beleive your car is MUCH lighter than his talon. He is WAY faster because he started with around 40 more hp than you. Increasing boost is fairly cheap. Plus he is probably gaining .5 sec JUST in the first 60 feet.

If speed is your desire.........

If youve spend $4000 you couldve just bought a Drag Gen III installed tuned etc and pulling low 13s for around $3500.

Apex - IMHO you need to only change the transmission in your car to drastically drop times. I know your setup and the LS tranny is awful for all motor (but great for boost). If youre staying all motor ditch that tranny for a b16 or ITR and I think you should drop a good half second. But if youre going boost stick with what you got. Good luck.

Apexi Dont try to compare the cost of my mods to yours. My car came from the factory turbocharged. If you were to turbocharge your car Im sure it would be as fast as mine. The problem is you have to buy a Turbo/wastegate Exh. Manny Downpipe intercooler probably do some engine work to lower the compression if you want to be able to run any significant amount of boost and plumb up the intake and oil feed/return. Thats a lot of $$$ that was included in the price of my car. The AWD helps a lot but dont be fooled into believing that it is EASY to get a perfect launch in an AWD. It IS easy to launch better than a FWD but it takes practice to really get low 60 times. Recently I have been able to pull consistent 1.72-1.74 60 foots but dont be discouraged. With an upgraded Diff and some slicks you should be able to pull mid 1.8s. The down fall on my car is the weight. people are under the misconception that because my car is a 4 cyl it is light. ITS NOT. My car weighs 3375 lbs with me in it. In perspective My buddies 97 Civic weighs 2600 with him in it.

Good luck with whatever you do to the Acura. Its a nice car and will SURELY outhandle my car. :)

I never complained about traction and GSTSuper16g is FWD so he has a legitament gripe. My gripe is all the weight I have to carry around AND drivetrain drag. It takes a little more HP to turn a transaxle a transfer case a 3 piece driveshaft a rear end 3 differentials 4 axles and 4 heavy ass stock rims than it takes to turn the drivetrain in a civic.

Dont get me wrong Im not bitching. I bought my car for a reason... Because it was exactly what I wanted. But it is no mystical ride with advantages that make other cars look handicapped.

You kidding me? We are finishing up the install on a Jackson Racing Supercharger on a CRV and I can tell you it will be slow. The AWD system in those is crap. I know of several which broke on cars only running 16 second quarters. I tend to leave AWD to the company which knows it best...

Feels like a new car. Before I would hit 1 bar by around 3500-4000 RPMs now I hit 1 bar before 3000. It also has no problems hitting whatever boost setting I have it on (which is 1.3 bar (old turbo died at 1 bar) but it creeps to 1.4 bar in the top of 4th). The mid range power is sick now I did a street start (didnt launch) in first and stomped on it and spun the fronts after the boost came on (halfway across the intersection). If I come out of the hole around 5000-5500 it just spins the shit out of my tires (Im guessing just fronts) so next up is a welded center differential and then Im going to try to break the rear end. ;)

I painted my intercooler pipes a little over a week ago and my couplings started popping off when the boost crept to 1.4 bar in 4th gear. Hopefully thats done with. I may strip the paint off the pipes and try something else (I need to get them powder-coated but I cant deal with the downtime)...maybe just a Krylon special (I used VHT high-temp paint last time which doesnt seal that well).

I also have a small vacuum leak somewhere that I cant find...might be my intake manifold to head. Its at the TB EGR Intake Manifold area...and I resealed the TB and EGR so that leaves the worst option left. I need to build a pressure tester to really check...

Anyway all the little annoyances aside it should be running low 13s or high 12s on pump gas now (err...pump gas radials at a stop light etc ;)). Just finished putting some new bushings in my shifter as well as some BG Synchroshift so I actually might be able to shift my way to a good run (no comments from the peanut gallery).

Need to really test it this weekend (since Moroso is coming up the 19th & 20th).

I will...or get a bead rolled around the end. The guy who did the piping is out of town for a couple weeks so I cant get it done until the end of next week if I want it welded. I dont know if anyone in this area has a bead tool so Ill just have to wait a bit I guess...

Funny thing is it didnt start leaking until after I painted it. Go figure...

10.023 was the best I did at sunshine tonight. Their track is the worst. If anybody wants to run your car I suggest going to Desoto. They are not idiots.

It ticks me off I was there for 2 and a half hours and only got to run twice. In that amount of time at Desoto I would have run 30 times.

I hear so many bad things about Desoto but I really enjoy running my car there. I bitch about how the track is prepared but its ALWAYS worse at the other places I go. I even talk to at least three people from south FLorida a couple weeks ago that said they run 2-3 tenths faster at desoto than Moroso and that they heard that from several people. Helps that it is 15 minutes from my house too.

how can you guys complain about desoto track prep? have you run a national event there? desoto usually has one track person there on a t&t night.i dont think they are going to prep the track like its an event for a bunch of test and tuners.i personaly have never had a problem with desoto.lakeland and sunshine are another story though.
last i was at desoto i could see the vht sticking to the tires like gum. another car had a pit crew and one of those guys shoes stuck to the track and came off.
maybe the tracks condition has something to do with the cars that are there. oil and coolant leaks at the starting line doesnt help. desoto doesnt do car inspections on t&t nights

14.4@97.5 that was with a 2.3 60....dropped the presure and nailed a 2.0 60 (on DOTs) but that resulted in slamming second and breaking the axle. Not a pretty night. That was with my NA integra though. My guess is the civic is much faster :)

As for tracks lived in orlando two weeks and I can tell you if you wanna come check out a nice track head up 50 to bithlo. They do inspections for TT. Its 10 to run and get in.....and from what I saw the first 60 kills that of desoto. Desoto sucks unless you go after a big national event.

For what? The 22% drivetrain loss? It is fun on the street though (I wont lie). ;)

BTW last Friday night (pump gas radials 1.3 bar)... 13.3x@99 with a 1.79 60

Can you tell it was falling off in the top end? The MPH is actually lower than last time I ran but with a better ET. Pulled the plugs the next morning and they were completely corroded (about 3 months of use). New plugs moved the fuel map slightly and less boost...pulls better up top...probably 12.9x territory but wont know till the 22nd. Still dying to try race fuel and 5 more psi... :D

what boost are you running now?? A 50/50 mix of cam 2 and 93 pump gas usually works pretty good. I run 18 lbs of boost with that and +20% injectors... running it rich but Id rather save the engine. another 5 lbs boost will get you that 12.xx

You said it right AWD for the street :) ... my car is useless on street tires below 3rd gear. but on the highway... pull baby pull...

Well I was running 1.3 bar (roughly 19 psi) on the street but I backed it down to 1.2 bar (17.5 psi)...both on pump gas. I have a MAS calibrated for approx. 500cc injectors instead of the 450cc stockers and Im running 720cc injectors at -10% since the MAS already leans it out about 10% from stock...so total of about +28% fuel. Last time to the track (well before Friday) I ran a 13.5@100 so I know that with the ET and MPH combo I got Friday that it was pulling timing badly. I think Ive got that fixed and Im pretty sure I can click off atleast a 13.1 if not a 12.99 next time out on pump gas and current boost settings.

Im not a big fan of race fuel since I do so much street racing (OK...Ill admit to it ;)). BUT I am taking a couple gas cans with me next time I go to Desoto so Ill be prepared at the street races.

Well...hopefully Ill get around to getting a good sized turbo sooner or later. Small turbos are great for low end torque but damn they fall off in the top end. Id love to have a 107 trap...heheh. The 22% drivetrain loss makes me nervous about on-the-run encounters...

Technically since I run 1.2 bar (approx.) that would be 2.2 times the 2.0L displacement. Hmmm...so my 2.0L is actually gulping in the same amount of air that a N/A 4.4L would at full throttle.

Somehow I doubt a 5.7L with a turbo will run 3 times as quick even with 3 times the displacement. Damn aerodynamic drag...heheh.

Well OK maybe not twice the weight! :) But it is strange that the fastest ET Ive seen so far is the BIGGEST and HEAVIEST car!! :D and to top it off still running on the STOCK bottom end 93 octane Amoco and on my daily driver tires.

I will add that without the juice I run in the 13.7s at a bit over 100mph. My first ever totally stock run was a 15.58 @ 89.7 so now Im running faster in the 1/8 mile (92.15) than I did stock in the quarter. Watcha think of that????

And If you think I have a lot of displacement now wait til you see my new and improved displacement numbers soon to happen: 6.27 liters (383) :)
