I am horrible at explaining things and i know PO57 knows that for a fact ;p but anyways lol
Why a suv with a sound system sounds better than a car with a sound system?
Is it because that the sound (shockwave or sound wave idk….w.e it is) has more space than a trunk of a regular car does.
It helps if you proofread things before hitting the submit button, to check and make sure that you spell words like "explaining" properly.
SUVs are just one wide open cabin, same thing as why hatchbacks will be "louder" than regular sedans with a walled off trunk.

dam lol i forgot that part.
aight thanks bro.
another question is why suv sound better on the outside than any other cars.
if it is the same answer you gave me then nvm
I dunno, are you talking about the fact that there isn't as much rattle?
You can't really compare unless you put the exact same system in both cars, even then, it's different. Power is going to be different as well. SUV alternators generally have larger alternators, etc etc.
I THINK that the majority of crap sound you're hearing is due to the fact that trunks are very enclosed pieces of thin metal that flex very easily.
The SUV is just a lot roomier and the metal is a bit more reinforced...... I THINK.

I drive a Yukon,I'd think it's louder due to more "airspace"..as in more room for the bass to "bounce around".
and my truck rattles. :-(

Like Dan said, an suv or open air vehicle is generally louder because there are less obstructions between the subs and cabin. As far as being louder on the outside, that could be many variables (vehicle, box type, subs, etc.)....generally louder on the inside means louder on the outside (duh), but not always. With an open air vehicle you almost get a bandpass effect in the sense that the entire cabin is in some way a secondary chamber.
