Ok, It's a holley 1850. I threw a simple set of new gaskets from holley rebuild kit hly-119 and now it LEAKS gas bad from he baseplate. I tried to fill it, all I get it gas out the secondary side, appeared to be between the baseplate and the main body. Everything it tight and clean, and I'm at a loss for words. Please, any wisdom here is needed and welcomed

what rebuild kit are you using?

did you take the old gaskets and match them to the new ones to make sure they are the right ones and had the right holes lined up?

did you get all the parts back in..pull the carb apart and see if everything is lined up and set the fuel bowls also.

i know i had mine set wrong the first time i did a carb re build and i shot gas out my vent tubes

make sure your bowls are on there good also..

I have the whole thing apart twice today, it all looks right. Gaskets are matched up and everything. I stopped the pissing gas out the secondary side by ANOTHER new gasket, now it's just out of the base plate. Going through gaskets to see whats up

Ok, mini update. To the best of my knowledge, I had a wrong base gasket along with a wrong metering block to main body gasket. When you hit the accelerater pump it poured out of the main body to plate somewhere. Now, I need to know where the screws go on the plate to main body. It was 6 screws for 8 holes, and I can't remember which 2 holes aren't used.

The two holes closest to the middle don't get screws. If you put them if there is a chance they can fall out in to the motor.

Not coming out the vent tube, dripping from somewhere. I don't know where but it looks like the acclerater pump. Like when you hit the gas to " squirt it" it doesn't squirt out the holes more it dribbles down from what looks like under the throttle plate and pools in the intake. I haven't even started the motor yet, I want to figure this out yet

Not yet, but it wasn't bad. It worked fine before, the secondary bowl gasket/metering plate went bad/leaked, so I went ahead and put all new gaskets on it. Only other mods to the carb are 2 size bigger jets ( from a 66 to a 68). I gave up and went out with some freinds, about to go get it and re-check everything again.

Ok, with some help from Suicidal Racing (http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/../member.php?u=17993) I think I figured it out. No clue what caused it to dribble but it's working now. If it wasn't 1:47 I'd start the car and find out. Update tomorrow. Thanks to anyone that helped

All is well... now it's the fucking fuel pump. Doing this weird clicking/knocking thing like it's not lined up. If you wiggle it it works fine but after a min of running, it starts chattering again... WTF. I got a new summit one in bog but need 1/2" fittings for it
