Home Depot is a pain in the ass to deal with. The actual workers that came out to do the work were awesome, though.

Home Depot just subs it out, and they do suck!!!! Had to make an appointment to have garage door measured they said someone will call w/in 48hrs-$200 deposit ,no prob done. 5 days later no call no show, went and got money back called a garage door installer. 2 days door installed.
2WEEKS later Home Depot's subcontractor calls is on his way to take measurements!!!!

I went to Home Depot the last time I bought another Bedroom. They charged me 35 bucks to come out and measure(meanwhile I had a drawing with dimensions from the home builder).....2 weeks later ....they charged me a minimum charge.....they only sub wich equals more mark up and more expensive for me.

Yeah...Home Depot sucks....I will call a private company to install it. Thanks Guys/Girls:D

I had the same issues. I needed doors. They made me pay them $35 to have someone come and measure, even though I had the dimensions from the guy that was going to install them for us. Then the damn door didn't fit. 3 doors, 2 were standard size, 1 was a custom size. If they had ordered the size I told them from the beginning, it would have been fine. So I had to sit there with part of my friggin wall ripped out til the new door got there...

I didn't mind paying that for the carpet, since we were doing part tile, part carpet. The sub was really good, but the Home Depot part blew.
