$20.00 to run
$10.00 to spectate

I want to get some more TR people out at the track. Race your vehicle in a safe environment and have actual timeslips to back up your claims. If you know someone who thinks their car is quicker than yours and you want to shut them up once and for all this is the perfect place to do it.

This is a weekly event as long as it doesn't rain. Hope to see you there this Wednesday. Also, if you go, post up your timeslips here in this post.

idk...i've been there once to spectate, but i heard the track isn't all that great...i've been to bradenton already...looking to go to a track again down here before i head back to orlando

What kind of cars typically show up at Sunshine Speedway? Mostly mustangs or are there any other kinds of domestics like SRT-4s and any import racers out there?
I heard the track wasn't that great either. But it's much closer to me than Bradenton. Also wish it was 1/4 mile.
Isn't it from 6-11pm? How many runs do you typically get in one night?
I'd like to try it out. Haven't been there in several years.

the track is fine...on a bad night you will get at least 3 it depends...Some imports are out there.

there is really no typical car that shows up. and the track is just fine, if i can go 1.4 60's out there, no one can bitch that the track sucks. and what does it matter if its 1/8 or 1/4...1/8 mile your not going as fast if you get into a wreck, you still get the primary part of the race which is the first 330', and your not beating on your car uselessly for an extra 5 seconds or so.

as for runs it depends on how the night is...i've gone and got as many as 10-12 in, and as little as 2-3...i usually show up right as the gates open so i can get my card filled out and get in line right away and am usually able to make 2-3 quick passes by 7:00...then watch a little and get 1 more in by 9, and maybe 1-2 more by the time they close.

can't make it on weds. got to work late. As long as the big boys don't break during quick 8 u can get some good runs in. Its farther for me to go to BMP but its worth it, I'm going either this weekend or next.1/4 mile is what I want to run but sunshine is ok and closer

tru dat I would be screwed. What is ur best time. My bro used to have an 89 GT Hatch with fully built 306 and novi 2000 centrifical SC and ran a best of 7.0's without trans brake. would of been nice to see it launch with the trans brake but he sold it before he could finish it.

So far (one test and tune night) my best is 8.72 on just the motor. I will be spraying a 100 shot and launching at different RPM's/rear tire pressure.

I think she has 7.6's in her but we'll see, the T5 already has a bad 1-3 synchro so I granny shift but the new MT drag radials got my 60 ft. down in the 1.7 range last time leaving at 2K ...

nice work my best at sunshine is a 8.5 on street tires and having to ease into it off the line. slicks on some steel 16's are next. I hope that will help me harness the 500 ftlbs I make at the wheels.

Tray, I raced a Silverado SS on slicks and a 200 shot the last time I was there...

Big Mike... you gonna make it on Wednesday? Tell Hatchy to come too if he got his tune. :cool:

The RWD SS ran a low 8 with slicks.. I have a video..I'll try to post it even though it was dark.
