what does a "can of meguiars" have to do with a powerball? you are comparing a polishing tool to a polish. Lake Country makes a wool ball similar to the powerball that works much better IMO. There are also much better thing to use instead of a "can of meguiars";)

the powerall is by far one of the best polishing tools i have ever used. what were you tring to polish? the power ball is not really made for corrective polishing, like trying to remove scratches, it is made more for upkeep of aluminum in good condition. if you are trying to remove scratches you need to use rouge with varying abrasiveness with a polishing wheel on a grinder or something that will generate high rpm to create heat also to help polish out scratches and imperfections.

I bought one and I thought it was pretty worthless. I ended up throwing it away, I agree it was definitely a waste of my money. I do alot of polishing and doing it by hand is far easier than that piece of crap.

I agree that it is best when used for upkeep on metal that is already in good condition. dont expect to turn some oxidized rims into a chrome-like finish with it.
