Who went to the auto show? I wasn't to impressed, and the Subaru area was weak I thought..

yeah i went today. Subaru was lacking for sure. Compared to the earlier models of the wrx, the 2008 seemed really cheap. just my opinion though. Other than that the Audi R8 was amazing and the dupont registry was decent this year.

I went, the subaru section was lacking a bit. The dupont registery section sucked this year aswell. Honda's new S2000 and Accord were very attractive, along with AMG's and my favorite the new Lexus IS-F.

anyone pop the hood of the wrx and see the chicken wire or whatever on the I/C?? and everything was taped up in the inside.... the whole subaru section was garbage, even the legacys were both crap.

R8, IS-F, S2000, and the few concepts were cool to see. My quest to find a convertible that I like (to sit in, not just appearence) continues....

On a side note though, the lady was filming a WRX review for the new model and she did like 4 differe nt takes while we were there because she had no idea wtf she was talking about. Paul and I were like...."we could do it for you if you like" :lol:

Yeah I was on my way down and my friend said this years show was not worth it. Everyone said Subaru was lacking badly. But like Fat Angel No Evo no STi thats not even funny.

I went today and was kinda disappointed...no STI, EVO, GTR, Camaro, BMW 1 series...And the new WRX is so shitty. It looks cheap as hell and it looks like a fucking Corolla. Who wants to spend 24k on a Corolla? WTF were they thinking? I have a feeling they will lose alot of sales in '08...

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking this also... I did like the AMGs, and the Audi R8 though.. I also noticed the Mini Cooper S now has a turbo and given up the supercharger. The S2000 CR was nice looking also.

I asked the Subaru Lady Rep about where all the Subaru's were at like STI's, Rally cars etc. She said we don't have them here we will have them at LA Auto Show. I said okay but this is Tampa not LA. Anywho I was bored, Kia had more people there then Subaru :(

For the $4.00 I spent on the show admission ticket; I guess I can't argue... This year compared to last year was a let down. I have been to different auto shows across the country, and seen much more and better manufacturer efforts to promote their product/image. I will say that for Subaru looking to promote " Cars to the masses" Vs. the niche cars they were in past; I just don't know.... Hell Ford even displayed two of their prototype cars, and it's Ford.LMAO:lol:!!

Yeah I saw that....I agree totally....If i had 40k to spend on a car that definitely wouldnt be on my top 10 or even 25 list...

i think subaru forgot about this show and did this at the last second lol. show overall sucked but the exotics were cool those two gallardos i saw that were like identical and all carbon fibered out were sick. right next to them the yellow viper, orange vette, those were sick two

Don't get me wrong...I'm not saying it's a bad car. Good friend of mine recently had a nice fixed up one. BUT, like I said...definitely wouldn't be my choice car....partially b/c I like the idea of a 4 door car better, and of course b/c I'm definitely partial to my awd car :D Definitely doesn't mean I'm not into driving....hence...my car ;) lol

LOL, yeah it does handle very well. But Honda needs to find some torque or start putting turbo's on all their cars. Then I may be more inclined to buy another Honda. :)
