I have seen people mount there amps on top of sub boxes….and a lot of my friends say that it could or will damage the amp….

So my question is…..could it damage the amp by any possible way?

'any possible way', yeah, I'm sure there is some way it could be hurt, but not likely. I've mounted lots of amps to boxes, and have yet to have one problem come from mounting them that way.

If your not 100% comfortable but need to, get rubber feet and mount them between the amp and the box.

The main reason they might be telling you about that is the fact that most people make subwoofer boxes just a couple of inches short of the ceiling of the trunk. If you mount it up taking up the last bit of that space, there will be a very low amount of:

A. airflow
B. Airspace (confined room means air turns hot around it quickly, and it recircs hot air)

That'll kill your amp really soon if anything, at least put it into protect mode frequently and fast.
