Design our logo (earn some money)

As some of you may know I run Awd-Turbo.com and we are looking for help in designing a logo for our racing team. Right now we have just been using awd-turbo.com on all of our team cars and it gets the point across but doesn’t really look to exciting :)

I need someone to design a new logo that uses our web address (awd-turbo.com) and has some other aspects that convey Rally, racing, turbo, awd, or what ever you think looks good. Now before you go designing drop shadows, sub bursts or what ever you guys like to throw around you need to understand this logo must be single color vinyl compatible. This means that the logo will be used on a vinyl cutter to make car graphics; it also means that it has to look good 8" wide up to 10' wide.

Once we have a few entries I will show them to all our members and after taking a vote we will pay the winner $100.00.

Also who ever wins must provide all the graphic work in digital format, along with any fonts or pictures used. We also need the file to be in a Vector format (For the vinyl cutter).

Please feel free to submit as many entries as you would like. Also don’t hesitate to ask any questions if you need artistic direction.

Any specific color you would want? Do you want the logo with a transparent BG so you can use any color?

Ok I made up two really quick, You left your decription pretty vague IMO. I sent you a PM with both of them.

I still have the psd's and I made them pretty simple so you can edit for the vinyls.

I recieved both of yours and they look great except they could never be used for vehicle graphics.

It cant have any shading or 3d effects, it has to be a flat one color logo.

Only thing that I could see was it would be a pain in the ass to cut vinyl. Sorry, I did vinyl for 10 years. Them little lines suck.

Yes that is very good. But would be a problem with the lines.

Also if you are doing somethign car specific you would need to include versions for

Your getting there. Only problem is we are nut just a subaru house so the first one wouldnt work. And the second is kinda plain.

We are looking for a logo that displays Turbo, Rally, AWD, Etc...

Theres nothing more to really do, adding something such as a turbo for the O will make it too cluttered. Using a symbol for a letter should really only be used once to look professional, using more than one will make people second guess what it says. Give me some time and maybe I will think of something else.

After being selected, i was asked to make some changes to make it more friendly to make/print/cut, so the wheel was simplified and the spacing on the t was widened to make it more noticeable. These are some of the ideas we're working with now:

Hey guys, to give you an update on this thread, this is the logo that Mike and his team decided on, and I'm glad to have made it for them.

I got my ideas from a few places. The company ETS had a competition like this on evom a few months ago and thats what got my brain jogging in terms of logo design, and when I saw this one I put together some ideas that I had and some that I had seen in that logo contest. I was also influenced by some of the logos of shops like ams, and it shows somewhat in the overall concept. Hope you guys like it.
