Ive started looking for a house again. My lease on my apt is up in Feb. and Im just trying to get a head start on finding a place. I was looking to stay on the Carrollwood, Northdale, South Lutz area but housing in Brandon seems to be a bit cheaper. Im looking for a 3/2/2 for < or around $175k. Im a little weary of the Brandon area cause of traffic and its further from where I work and want to be. Ive worked the Brandon area a bit and I never really enjoy it much. Maybe I didnt give it a chance? :dunno:

So my ? to you guys that live out there, is it all that bad or would you rather live elsewhere? I wouldnt mind it out there too much, I also wouldnt mind staying where I grew up in an area I know. Plus its not as busy as the Brandon area.

Brandon is easy to get around in if you pick the right place to live. Hit me up on the phone and we can discuss it in further detail.

You knew it was coming.

Dude, stay here in Carrollwood, go into Carrollwood Meadows and get yourself a house. They can be had for just barely over that price.

Brandon SUUUUCKKS!! The traffic is HORRIBLE there!!! And most of the houses there are older....that's why it's cheap there.....

I would avoid it if I were you....

We like it out here. I work over by the airport, so it is a quick 30-minute drive in terrible rush hour traffic thanks to the new elevated portion of the Crosstown. Great thing about Brandon is you have easy access to all major highways and Orlando is a quick 45-minute drive in good traffic.

Traffic does suck at times though (especially during Christmas by the mall). As Scott said, there are places you want to stay away from but that seems to be the case with all Tampa Bay areas.

I live in Valrico and there are a lot of short cuts to get around Brandon to miss the heavy traffic. I've lived in the Brandon/Valrico area for 17 years and love it. It's got easy access to everything you need.
