They have a GTO LS1 SWAP.
They aren't swappin a LS1 into an 04 GTO.

Well, just found out today that the bottom end is actually a LS6, we will dig into the motor more tomorrow to see what other goodies are on the motor.

The seal around the front timing cover looked a little new...Im sensing cam of some sort!

Well, just found out today that the bottom end is actually a LS6, we will dig into the motor more tomorrow to see what other goodies are on the motor.
The rotating assembly (crank/rods/pistons) is the same between LS6 and LS1 motors. The only difference in the short block would be the block itself, which has "windows" in the cylinders on the LS6 block. What did you find exactly?
