What are you even trying to do? Is it research? Are you going to make a setup yourself? Details....?

I would just do a research project on potential hearing damage and car stereo spl levels.

That would be a lot easier to work on too.

This doesn't even affect people with built up stereos either. Stock stereos can cause hearing damage as well, you can fit that in somewhere.

That's actually a really good idea, and you could be finished with that project way ahead of schedule.

You could go on about how super harsh tweeters damage your hearing quicker. (no Pyle super tweeters)

I can find a few journals on hearing loss, then take the time to go get a car metered with a stock stereo, a modded car, then take some rat shack spl meter around your house. Hairdryer? lawnmower? etc etc. A few tables and a graph of household spl offenders, I can see about 5 pages easy.

So your doctor says that because you have shitty hearing, you are immune to your eardrums blowing out?

Something sounds like BS or you don't know how to retell events and dialogue properly, or maybe you just heard what you wanted to hear.

umm want to talk to my doctor?

Well, we can look at this logically.

Cause of hearing loss/damage is due to excessively loud or continuously loud sound volumes. This is usually the damage to some 'mechanics' of the inner ear.

What if you had gunshots blasted two inches away from your ear for the next few days nonstop? I'm pretty sure you would be permanently deaf by that point, wouldn't you agree? What makes the fact that you were born with a hearing problem immune to any sort of future damage?

If I was born with very bad vision, lets say 500/10000 or something, I'm almost positive if you shot a laser in my eye for a day, I would then go permanently blind, or stared at the sun, or poked my eyes out with glass?

I'm just making a point, I'll stop.

Judging by the lack of posting in this thread I'd say he failed.

What does it take to be a car audio installer?

Not much of anything at all, any moron can do it. Whether they can make it sound good, be powerful, and efficient without damaging something, that's a little different.

I would stick with the SPL thing. Sooooooooooooo much easier to write about.
