seriously, go to the hospital and take the snake body with you, they can tell you and will be able to identify....especially if you need antivenom...

ruler
10-29-2007, 09:53 PM
it is venomous you can see in the shape of the head. The snakes inter breed and sometimes the colors fade when they are chopped in half. I bet 5 pesos its a copper head or a half moccasin pug mix.

I did think it was poisonous (sp) when i saw the triangular head. Thanks for the help

hechambe

Odd looking head. It does not look poisonous though. The head is more elongated than poisonous. Most poisonous snakes have a spade shaped head. You might want to concider going to the hospital if there is TWO puncture marks but it looks like he should have a bunch of small teeth I have been bitten by a 6ft oak snake it scared the shit out of me but it just bled a bit.

thats not a florida kingsnake and if the one you have looks like that its not a florida kingsnake either. I grew up with them and the pattern is no where near close to what any kingsnake has.

The snake is just a red corn snake. not poisonous. I used to catch these and yellow rats in the woods with my dad when i was little. How did you get bit in the ass by anyways
