Thursday night on the way home...saw an 06/07 GTI, bein a smart ass I blew off at him :evil2: , got off my exit, & he proceeded to follow me (which I didn't expect). We cruised on the main street since cops like to hang out on there...eventually got caught at a light. Kinda started to roll through the green, he launched it, so I eventually did...got the jump on me, I hit 2nd, & heard a pop like a baloon popped :-o . Didn't pay too much mind to it, went to third, started creeping on him (but I heard no bov @ the shift)...shifted to 4th (still no bov), caught him, passed him, put one car by end of 4th, then let off...here's the kicker

I was spikin 10, dropped to 6/7...I pulled over thinking wtf could have happened now that I have low boost. At this point all I heard was air rushing out of of the motor when I gave it gas...checked under the car (everything looked good from the top)...DAMN COLD SIDE PIPE POPPED OFF THE COUPLER...but I was still able to catch & pass the VW, only if that pipe had stayed on... :doh:!

^^^ Stage whatever is just the reference to which ECU they are running. There are Stage 0 cars that have over 500fwhp and Stage 2 cars with 315fwhp, so the Stage of the car really doesn't matter.


On the other hand

An Srt4 without any other mods whatsoever and switching a Stage 0 to a Stage 1 would net you around 15hp, so the guy above me is right.

I will run him in my car. I have an SRT-4 that is slightly modded. And the GTI would be a better run for my buddy's neon. Because I had a GTI before the srt and I know what they can do

all of our small turbos are meant for low end torque. thats what vdubs and srts have in common. no go from 90mph and up.

APR stage 3 is like 6-7k, may be lower now that they have the mkv gti to toy with. but 6k & they only claim 280-300, with just simple bolt-ons, yes...but i want more than that. the bottoms ends are pretty strong though...gotta love the vr6 on boost :D

the apr is down to about 4500. yeah k04 doesn't have enough power for me. the apr stage 3+ is 340+hp. the 280 isn't much but i think 12's is a good start for a turbo upgrade, then get some meth/alcohol injection and its all good

no thats was a different one.not sure what ever happend to it would have like to get that set up for my wifes cabby but that rocco had electrical problems. it also had the roof all f'ed up. the guy juan i think had it a screwed it. mine is all my one creation. did all the work myself.
