Thanks for the info cobrajet. I was looking over the flyer and the way it is worded in seems that every car that is faster then 7:49 has to run pro/spro. That does not seem fair, Many cars that run from 7:00 to 7:49 have no electronics and they run street/ sportsman on the other tracks. they wll have no chance to winn ay lakeland

I have talked to Roy and my ban was lifted, Roy said that only he can place bans. I only want to say good luck to all those that run there. I myself will e in Bradenton.

Yeah, it's a combo pro/s pro race. I mentioned the electronics vs non electronics issue to Roy but it's up to the racer to decide whether they want to compete or not. There are some racers out there that can cut very impressive lights with the foot brake! I'll be at Bradenton also.

If I remember correctly, Roy tried this once before about 4 yrs. ago. It did not go over very well. I am glad that this whole mess seems to be working out with me now being un-banned and the race program starting back up, but I hope that Roy doesn't start making the same old mistakes.

It is hard enogh for a foot brake racer to cut great lights in there own class but against a delay box good luck and I think that most (if not all) will agree.

But there is still the traction issue to deal with. It sounds like you have been going to LDS how is all there? are the high power cars hooking are the boards working right and the timing equipment?

I'm not going to get into how the tracks programs are run. I live close by and I just would like to see the track stay in operation and will support it as I'm sure a lot of the other local racers. Once a track is gone, it's gone and can not be brought back.
Yes I go to Lakeland a lot and know everyone there. I use to work there under the lease program. I can see all the efforts that Roy is making to improve the track. As far as I've seen the traction has been good enough for high 5 second cars. I haven't seen anything faster there since they opened up again. The score boards are working from what I've seen. I guess we'll see after Saturday how it all works out. I'll be at Bradenton for the nostalgia race but I'll find out how it went from my neighbor who's the starter there.
Hopefully I'll finish my car in the next couple of months. I plan to race at Lakeland, Bradenton and Sunshine depending on how far I want to tow that particular weekend. It's only 5 minutes to LDS for me. :)

You live by Marco? I was under the impression thar Marco lived far away from LDS.

I have talked to several people and they were not to happy with the traction. But then again it is all relative. I live close to LDS (Polk City) I hope it gets back on top soon. Weather allowing I may be there for tnt.

No, Not Marco, Craig. He's the starter on Thursdays or when they call him for events. I have no idea where Marco lives! I live off of Old Polk City Rd 1 mile before you get to Marcum RD. Across the street from Craig.
You keep saying you talked to people that say this or that about the track. You should go there and see for yourself since you are not banned. When things don't go the way some people expect them to they have a tendency to blame the track. In reality it might be their car setup, the weather or something else. I see cars go there and light up the tires as soon as they hit the pedal and then the next car will do a wheel stand. I'm not talking about 5 second cars either. What do you think the problem might be? Most likely the car not the track. I'm not saying that the track always has perfect traction all things concidered, it hasn't been bad once they started using the new sprayer and VHT solution. Everyone needs to find out for themselves and not go by what one person or another (including myself) says. I'm sure that this weekend will determine which way the track is heading as far as V8 bracket racing is concerned.
They are calling for rain on Thurs for T&T but that hasn't stopped the track from opening up the last few Thurs when it was actually raining and they dried the track and ran whatever cars showed up. The weather hasn't been cooperating since they opened up. Maybe it will change here soon.

I am sorry, it is just all the times I jave been there Marco has been the starter. Now that Roy and I have fixed the unjusified banning I will go. I don't think I will take a car there until I do see it for myself that that track in hooking, the last few times I was there it was slick for most cars faster then like 7:50, you say that they are using I new vht solution and sprayer (did they get a new one and trash the blue one?). It sound good buy we will see.

No, I was there all the time , well until Marco banned me for my post here. All the times I was there it was always Marco starting and they were using the old little sprayer and then started with the blue sprayer. You have to remember that I have been banned for what 3 weeks? I have no idea has to what is going on there now other then Roy telling me last week, when he lifted my ban, that He is going to make alot on big changes and people will not be getting banned fo silly reasons.

Marco, i am having trouble understanding why you keep saying that you dont now me. You and i have talked at the other tracks during jr dragster races ( heck when Louis blew his clutch pack we helpped you fix it) You mike and me talk at lds. You were the one that looked me in the eyes and banned me. I am sure that you have your reasons for saying you dont now me.

Now that I am allowed to race there I will return, now that I have been told that you have the track hooking ,

As far as your ban goes I know nothing about it and really it is not my business... but I am glad that it has been lifted and that we will see you out there. We run a 69 Camaro in NHRA competition B/SA and we run 7.14 - 7.18 out at LDS. We have had identical 60 foot times that we have had at reynolds and Atlanta... so as far as the big cars hooking yes they are!!!
