depending on what you are trying to make you might want to use some felt cloth stretched over a frame.

This would only be done for low-mid range speakers... Anything with bass I would not use felt only unless its just to cover a MDF box for the 'glass' look.

I Am Making A Enclosure For Some 6 1/2's So Where Can I Get This Felt Stuff You Are Talking About And Which One Is Easier

walmat, it is called fleece, staple and stretch over frame and shape to what you want - cover it with a heavy coat of resin, maybe 2, then use bondo to smooth to finished.

Since this will be used for 6 1/2's and you have never used fiberglass or bondo before I would suggest carpeting the enclosure, after the fleece/resin. It will make it easier on yourself and make a clean look if you plan on trying to make it look stockish.

yeah i oupsd the cloth and said felt but porous cloth is what you want to it absorbs up the resin and becomes solid

and i'm with joka since you've never worked with bondo before you might want to cover this with cloth, carpet, something to hide your imprefections. its not the hardest thing in the world to make glassy boxs but it takes a ton of time and after a few hours of sanding most people say screw it anyway espicaly on their first attempt.

If you want to save some money and your project is big hit up a marine supply store they sell it in large buckets. Also you can get a deep cycle cheap while you there.
