$1600+ for it.. I had a few people state the f4 works really well and read a bunch of reviews comparing the two. Figured the f4 would be enough for me. I can always change it though :nerd:

Wow, you must be a good photographer to warrant spending that kind of cash?

No but after doing alot of reviews and the type of pics I will be taking most of the time this will be the correct lens to get.

nifty fifty?
I would at least get a protection filter for the L lens. You dont wanna scratch that glass. Buy a nice one too, no use in getting a cheap filter for a nice lens. I think the last one I bought I paid over $100 for and its nothing more than piece of glass with a bunch coatings on it.
Did you get the updated battery grip?

nah just the one that worked with the 20d and 30d.
Lens isnt ordered yet and either is the flash. There are some instant canon rebates but newegg wont offer it since they said there not up to date. So Im gonna look else where.

Dont take this the wrong way.
I would NEVER spend that type of money as a Noob photog. Thats just ridiculous.
But good luck with your endeavor.

i would learn to use your current set up befor you go complicating it further...
but with a better lens your pictures will look better.
you can be a great picture taker, but a sloppy photographer... if that makes any sence.
just because you have the best lens`s, nicest camera, and know how to use photo shop, doesnt mean you know how to take pictures....
if you buy a nice lens, please please get a multi coated UV filter. it will be on par with the qaulity of glass on the lens, and will give you a slightly sharper iamage. maybe get a Nutereal density filter as well.

Im sure alot of people would spend that kinda money on a setup if they had ALOT of excess money around. I mean I wouldn't spend it if I barley had it, but if I was rich, Id get it, then pay for lessons on running it.

Very True.
This women is an Australian P&S photographer. But she out shoots most DSLR users. Its all in how you use the camera.
