is at TDC?
SR popular drift motor so it ok to post here :)

Its either really close or that is TDC I think you might need to have to turn the crank slightly clockwise but its really close. But both cams are pointed out which is correct.

i cant find a wrench to fit on there, i cant get an adjustable
to lock on there at all either

on the crank dude. put a 12 Inch extention in the spark plug hole and get it at its peak. the CAS will take any small mistakes for being off slightly.

im talkin about breaking loose the bolt on the camshaft sprokets
I believe off the top of my head its a 24 mm wrench you need.

ya, i thought it was 1 inch, i cant get the 1" or an adjustable to fit on it, idk

yea thats pretty close, its 2.5 links to the dot on intake, 9 links to exhaust then i believe another 3.5 down, thats if your looking level to the top of the head

put an socket extension in there, when it goes as high as it can give it a small turn but not enough to let it recede much back in. you want it in the very beginning stage of combustion stroke.

Why dont we just look at the marks on the crank? there really isnt any way for those to be off. and I just completly dissasembled an sr from long block to absolutly nothing, literally 5 min ago, and I used a 1" wrench to hold the cams.

disassemble is easy, reassemble and running correctly are 2 different things.
the correct way is to read it thru the cam markings above. if you want to get REALLY close, get a dial caliper

i just google'ed that, isnt it used to measure lengths? what do you measure?

sean at Central Automotive showed me the wrench to use, a 26mm, grinded down on the side to make it thin! worked like a charm!
you guys wanna see more pics of my motor's internals??
i think theyr cool!

You could do that too, but all I have is a 1" maybe one day ill buy all the cool big metric stuff
