First let me say I debated a week about posting this, but the thought what the hell, ya'll might need a good laugh.

I was on my way home from work last Sun morning (I work 6p-6a) and was in one of the company cars I drive. I was heading west on Park Blvd and this Prius was behind me with a young guy, maybe 17 or 18 driving. He pulled up next to me at the light at 66th when we stopped. He actually reved his engine, I look around and nope, nobody around but me, him and the cop sitting in the parking lot of the CVS on the other side of the intersection. So me being me, I decide what the hell, why not, so I reved back at him.

I've been holding 2500 rpm's with my left foot on the brake and he hasn't, he just guns it when the light turns green. So I get a good half length on him right away, and I keep pulling on him, As we go past the cop, I look over at him and he's LHAO and never pulled out after us, I think he was laughing too hard, tears in his eyes, couldn't see to drive let alone write a ticket.. I had 2 lengths on him at 50 and backed off and then the kid did the usual ricer fly-by.



Oh, btw, I was driving an '04 Honda Civic Hybrid. :D

Good lord that race must have taken a few minutes... or maybe they up-ed the performance in the 04's because my 2003 Civic Hybrid is the slowest thing ever (then again my other car, the wrx, is fairly fast).

Good kill I suppose, plus one for the civic hybrids!

the cop was probably laughing because you guys werent even doing the speed limit and trying to race, lol, im just kiddin around man, good kill

out of curiousity.... the hybrid's actually have Vtec??? My g/f and I have a running joke while driving the car, where we wait for the vtec to kick in so we can merge on the interstate (or any other situation in which acc. is required).... the thing is horribly slow and the cvt never lets the rpms get that high.... just wondering

The manual says it's an 82hp VTEC engine. I think the VTEC kicks in when the gas engine kicks in to assist mode, that's the only added power I ever feel too.
