Two pictures were taken at the same angle (one obviously w/ the hood open) and then the motor was faded into the hood...
Yes P.S. was used*

you dont get rid of it... Basically, you fade the edges of the motor ontop of the hood

ok its real simple to do this. first you snap 2 pics of your car one with the hood up other with it down. to get this to work out the best make sure the front of your car is facing the sun or your light source that way the hood doesnt cast a shadow on the motor. next you open ps and layer the images and make sure it all lines up nicely with the pic of the hood up on the bottom. take your eraser tool and get rid of the open hood will look better that way. next take your brush and set it to about 35% flow and 0% hardness and start erasing the area where you want the motor to show up. do not erase the whole area just make it fade in so it looks like the hood is still there. keep doing it till it looks right to you then go back to the bottom layer and brighten it up if needed mess around with the shadow/highlight to make it stand out a little bit. thats its you should have a see though hood now.

Would have looked better if there was no tree reflection on the hood, kind of makes it too busy towards the window area.
