A parking lot, in near day light? cmon...that's not hard core. I've done a couple of systems driving I4 en route to Daytona.

In 92, my invitation to Iasca finals got lost in the mail. When if finally showed up, it was about 2 weeks out (in Tempe) and I had already torn my car down.

So, we got as much done as we could in about 3 days, and started driving, buliding along the way. At one point, we stopped at a gas station in Texas, about 3am, and cut the nozzle off the 25 cent 'tire inflation center' so we could hook up an air stapler.

Got to Tempe, and dropped by Orion (before they were part of DEI). They wanted me to have all new equipment, so we tore down and started again. Fortunately, there was a drag boat race in town, and one of the teams was at our hotel. This guy's dually had air, power, you name it.

Got done in time, and actually finished top 10.

Rumor has it that some moron at our hotel stripped the sheets off his bed, so he could do some spray glue upholstery work. When he was done, he just flipped the matress over, and it promptly stuck to the box springs. Should have heard the maid cursing the next morning trying to make it.

I know nothing about that, of course.

not a big deal i done 5-6 installs in random parking lots mid day, early morning ,middle of the night at walmat I did my buddies at tarpon high about 7am and cops show up thinking i was stealing it ;)

Hardcore is using a generator in the Taco bell parking lot at 3am to build for a show DBDrag even the next day. Then getting the police called because they want to leave and go home and your still there with a circular saw.... Not my fault they have the most light at 3am....
