racing chips??

so im new to the whole car thing never had any tellme crap bout them
so that in mind if i say dumb crap just correct me so i can learn :)
ok so im trying to learn more about racing chips, all about them what u need to a 2003 jetta gl-none turbo so anything anyone knows will help :)

and nething u know about cool air intakes will help im looking for the best/upper parts so i can help my car pull above in the small hp it has now
so anything will help just let me know
