Yea I have a map of places where they can hide and where you need to be slow. The official Tail of the Dragon website posts up all the info. I'm planning it so far ahead because people have to take off from work and save up money because it isn't your typical one maybe two tanks of gas cruise.

hahaha hell yeah I wish I could, but I cant get drift in FWD cars Im RWD all the way. Thats why I want to sell the car and get the Z-28 lol But now I cant even afford to do anything lol

Theres 3 hotels in Robbinsville, North Carolina. Smack dab in the middle of town, but theres one in about the middle of the Tail of the dragon lol

Anyone is welcome to go, whether you have a car or a bike doesn't matter. You can invite everyone you know. If you get caught filming on the Dragon though it is a ticket. So be sure everyone understands this getting into it.

I was thinking we could all meet somewhere near I4 and 75 or towards Tampa International. I'm gonna make a flyer and everything to put up as a page so just help me gather up all the info and I'll start up a better thread.

Where you need to stay is at the Fontana lodge or just camp at fontana damn campsites. Going into robinsville sucks. And Fontana lodge is super close to the dragon with bad ass mountain roads leading up to it.

In all reality if you drift on that road you most definitely will kill someone. The corners are tight and most of them are blind. Even riding the line in the road is dangerous going around those turns.

That map is pretty much bullshit. It doesn't accurately portray the layout of the roads and surrounding locations. That area is pretty easy to navigate.

Yeah, I just got back from driving that road a couple of times this summer. I have been driving it the past three summers when I go up to tennesse and georgia. I got to drive a new 525i sport and it was amazing on that road. I will def try and have my car ready for this ride.

Awesome idea Josh. I'll definitely be setting aside the money to go. Sounds like a great place to put the MR2 through her paces.

As an extra note, I'm not sure if it's already been posted, the elevation change from Florida to that area of NC especially is significant. My friend's 06 'Stang GT sounded like it had a mild case of asthma the entire time. Those of you with forced induction, or those of you daring/dumb enough to spray up there, may want to address tuning your car before going 'lest you place excess wear on your expensive toys.
