dose anybody know who or where i can take my 02 wrx tranny to get my striped second gear fixed. i was selling my car and a guy came to test drive my car and he over reved 1st gear and slamed it to 2nd gear and striped it out ..please help any info would be appreciated i have the tranny out and reddy to be fixed..

omg that sucks.... why did you let him drive it!!!???

best thing for you to do is ship it to andrew tech. they charge $950 to replace a 2nd gear.... that includes shipping!

Did the guy offer to fix or help fix it since he broke it? I'd be so pissed. Good luck.

no after he broke the tranny he said "dam that sounds expensive" as the car rolls to a stop, it took every thing i had no to beat the dog snot out of him.Im so pissed i cant think straight...

WTF MAN im sorry but he really should pay something. You cant just be like oops my bad. Ryan is the best guy to ask for tranny stuff.

if he did it on the test drive he should at least be responsible for a little bit. especially if he over-revved into that gear.


and as for the why did you let him test it comment, would you really buy a car without testing it first?

lol ive delt with this ish for so long. i have to pull mine again to send it back to andrewtech!

AND COME ON you dont really need to test a Subaru out. Either your born to drive a Subaru or u will always own a honda. im JKin I test drove my suby b4 i bought it also

blew 3rd gear now!! so andrew is hooking me up with 3-4 ppg's.

whats he charging u for the 3-4 ppg's.?

im taking my car up to work so i can put it on the lift and drop the tranny i priced out the 2nd driven gear and bushings and syncro's with my discount comes to about $300 in parts and some more busted knuckles...

im going to make a t-shirt for the guy who striped out the tranny and it will say "If U Cant Find em Grind em"

no he wont pick up his phone and i dont know where he lives..

but i droped the tranny today and seperated the case and i need a new main shaft and 2nd driven gear about $375 in part.
