This is my wife's 1997 STO Miata. She is the first and only owner. It is Twilight Blue and has 105,000 miles. For those that are not familiar with the STO Edition Miata, it is special edition that Mazda created to celebrate the end of the NA (1990-1997) body style. It has special color paint (Twilight Blue), tan leather interior with tan top, 5-spoke M-Edition wheels, and touring suspension.
It has been well maintained mechanically, however cosmetically it is showing its age. The a/c blows colder than my 2004 Miata did from the factory. The entire stereo system was replaced several years ago and sounds great.
The car was rear-ended in the spring of 2006, the damage was not great, however the rear of the car has been repainted. As you can see in the pictures, the rear looks better than the front. The front could use a repaint. I don't have pictures of the interior, but the interior is black and tan. The tan leather seats show their age and have some cracks. I have replaced the shift knob with a factory mazda 6 knob.
Recent Maintenance and Upgrades:
New clutch at 95,000 miles
New vinyl top with glass rear window at 100,000 miles
Radiator flush at 105,000 miles
New battery at 105,000 miles
New clutch slave and master cylinders at 105,000 miles
