my driver side just took a shit. my question is, has anyone had any good luck with any brands? i work at a Ferman dealership and get parts at cost, but seeing how these go all the time, i dunno if Napa or someone has had a better reputation on these

so i guess im asking, how has your luck been with non GM parts? i usually dont do this (usually only factory goes back in anywhere), but if since this is such an issue with the parts from GM, ill take some advice

thanks

I have Advance autoparts ones in mine..both sides. I worked at Ferman also and there all the same. Just make sure you rivet them back into place and look into the easy way to do it. You have to cut alittle bit of the door but its alot easier and will help if they so out again since there known for it.

Yeah autozone lifetime warranty brand new not rebuilt, and plenty affordable.. I usually dont use rivets, bolts with locknuts, and have never had a problem. But that's just how i do it.

has anyone converted to a manual crank on their driver's side?

Ive converted the other way around, its not that hard, all you need is a junkyard manual regulator, and know exactly where to put the hole in the panel and done, good as a base factory design!
