Heads Up Madness Meet This Saturday ! [Archive]

Since Sunshine is having a heads up race this Saturday I figured we could do a meet there.

Say start at 4:00 on the entrance side ( west side ) just past the last set of bleachers which is a little past half track. The race starts at 5:00.

Dave and I are going so I will set up my big canopy behind my wife's Honda Element ( should be easy to find that :lol: ).. The canopy is blue and the car is beige.

I will bring a big cooler if you need a place to store drinks.

Post up if you are coming.

Either way, I'll be there. I'm usually behind the line watching cars until they call 6.50. As soon as I make my run, park the car, hook up battery charger, back to the line to watch. You probably won't find me in the pits.

there is some badass racing going on this month thats for sure

i talked to glidden today and asked him if he was going to be at immokalee and he said he aint about bolting on 400 or 500 pounds to his ride.

I will bring some burgers and dogs for sure. I have a ton of paper plates, plastic forks and shit if someone wants to bring some sides. Might even bring the smoker and throw some pork chops or something on it.

We are dropping Dave's blue S-10 and my blue canopy off at 2:00 when the gate opens so if you want to park near that or right next to it if possible that would be good. We will be on the entrance side of the track ( west siiiide ) about mid track. We will be back to the track about 4:00.

^dont feel bad i'm stuck at my house also..just got told a dude that was suppost to buy shit off me has been dicking me around pretty much..so i wasted yesterday and this morning..oh and i'm broke and have no ride to the track but have 70$ at the track that is owed to me and i think chris is going and he wanted my sun visors so that would of been another 15$ in my pocket.

I lost second round. I couldn't get a handle on the tune up to not break out. I was peddling it on the top end and still breaking out. :sad:

I went a 6.53 first round of qualifying, didn't change a damn thing to try to get a 6.50-6.51 second round, and it friggin went a 6.43! It's all over the map.

I saw that first run against Nicole. I was thinking that you were going to do real well. Guess the overcast that came through cooled the track down some and made you alot quicker. Picking up a whole tenth though, wow.

Good to meet you Amanda... I'll probably be out there for the next one as well. I saw alot of old friends out there yesterday.

Oh yeah, I said hi to Alan and Shawn but didn't stick around, we went to the pits to talk to a bunch of people.

I didn't see the top, I was really hoping that the light would turn green but you hit 2nd and 3rd gear pretty quick and was gone before my light turned. I was hoping to see it a little closer....your GT hatch is one of the only years I like 85-86.

The issue I was having wasn't actually the weather, but my transmission. I had it rebuilt last week, and the guy said it will probably be faster..something about everything being tigher, that it had to have been dragging/slipping before..

Sure enough, same 60' but way quicker on the other end. It's going to take another test session or two to get it figured out, BUT......

I've got 2 months before my next race, and with cooler air coming, we're going to find out what she'll run all out! I've never had all the timing in it, bigger carb on it, etc. The fastest I've gone is a 6.38 kind of on accident.

Sorry all I Failed On Race Day for you all my Fucked Over Rebuilt Dodge broke down on the bridge where you could have Found On Road Dead. Tell you this truck is Fix Or REGRET Daily, I should have listened to my father when he told me its For Old Retarded Drivers but for some reason I stand behind my choice being I am very Fast On Roads Downhill!! This is all true and again I am very sorry for not making it to the track, I still have the grill in the back along with a cooler full of ice water and soda. Anyone wanna get together this weekend and have a cook out or what ever LMK.
