Brad Pitt to star in 'Bullitt' remake (http://www.azcentral.com/ent/celeb/articles/0704bradpitt-CR.html)

Looks like they are going to remake Bullitt, this time its Brad Pitt, and from what I have seen the Bullitt S197 is being Marketed along with the release of the movie, Thats why they left it out of this years sales book, in case it doesnt release until next MY. Found pics of the car from the filming but lost them, if anyone can find them please post them rep will be given.
I think we are into another era of advertising, GM did it with Transformers now this with Ford.

Sounds like it could be a cool remake; Bullitt was an awesome movie. But, pretty gay that it's going to be another advertising whoring movie....advertising is getting out of hand...remember years back when they made movies about the future and how advertising was everywhere and it seemed ridiculous? Now it's coming true.....

I just don't think they can pull off another chase scene to top the original....

And Brad Pitt is no Steve McQueen... that was a real car/motorcycle guy right there...no acting involved.

hopefully they will lean more towards the gone in 60 sec's side than the past Chad McQueen side (redline) That movie was a 1hr and a half commercial for Redline oil.
BTW Chad McQueen is Producing it.

Steve McQueen little known fact:
He was a pallbearer at Bruce Lee's Funeral
He was a mentor to Chuck Norris and Chuck Norris was Quoted as saying that whenever he has to appear tough on screen he tries to act like Steve Mcqueen.
