As some of you know I have gone and ordered the TD05H 20g ( should have been here by now..). I e-mailed TRE about porting larger wastegate(internal) and clipping. They recommended a 15 deg. clip to me. Doesnt that seem like a bit much??? I dont really know but I have hear 7 and 10 deg. so much that 15 deg. sounds crazy! Is it because the compressor wheel is so big??? Let me know guys!

Hrmm Joe. TD05 20G...thats the smaller exh wheel. 16G-20G being the intake wheel. Smaller than the TD06 wheel. Thats why the extreme clip on the exh wheel. Same wheel as the 16GTD05. Clipping makes lag but increases top end power. Decreases surface area on the wheel...but allows more to pass through. If you are un-sure just call RREExtreme or Beernuts(Bushcur). 7-10deg is probably for the TD06 wheel. Thats my half baked opinion anyway. I would go with the 15 degree clip though. Like this

I dunno what the deal is. You would think youd need less of a clip to spin the big compressor wheel with the small turbine wheel. I guess TRE should know though.

The DSM Closet... thats funny...

My turbo better be here this week or Richard is going to get an earfull...

Jon @ TRE will do it right for you. Just let him know what the primary use of the vehicle is where you want your powerband and what mods are and will be done to your car.

Anyone else interested in doing a club tuning session? After I get the diff welded (not that it will be soon) Im definitely going to want to get my car on a dyno to fine tune it...

I heard it pulls harder at higher rpms but you suffer a little bit more at lower rpms. I guess you will need to dump it at a higher rpm at the lunch.

Well Im going to trust jon @ TRE and let him do what he thinks needs to be done. I drive my car less than 2 miles to work and occationally on the weekends so I want all the HP i can generate with that 20g. If it is slow spooling Ill rev it.

John let me know when you figure out if you have an extra diff... and how much of a b!tch it is to change.

Bad news about the diff. Apparently the June 91+ builds are different from the older. Im not sure what changed but Cusco shows a different application (might be output shaft?). Im going to go ahead and weld my 90 and hope that the tranny I have in the car currently has the same setup. Hopefully Ill have a little bit better idea after I pull the old 90 tranny apart.

My current tranny is a 90 with upgraded 94 internals (94 internals using all the superceded parts) except for output shaft. Not sure how thats going to effect the swap but Ill know for sure in a couple weeks.

BTW did you ever get your turbine exhaust outlet flange from RRE so you could get the O2 eliminator built?
