going for up to 7k if its in killer shape, not worth much because its considered the lowest powered cobra in recent years, and it it unpopular because of this.

yep, rated @ 305, but easily remedied.. :D we'll see what he wants for it, if he wants the moon he can load it up and take it with him... figure if I can steal it then why not...

My 98 was putting down 290rwhp. Im sure if the 96 isn't making good power with the stock tune, a dyno tune should be able to help it quiet a bit.
And regardless, i dont think i've heard of a properly running 4V make less then 250 to the wheels. Which is still right at 300 crank Hp with a 15% loss.
I sold my 95 for 7300. Black on Black with some mods. Put down 458rwhp on a 100 shot at sammy's.

Derek, ask him if it has had the "fix" 96 was the first year of the 4v so it had some cooling issues. There was a TSB out on it. In the N O R M A L temp guage a non fixed 96 would be running on the "M" or higher. If it has had the fix then it should read no higher than the "R". Not the greatest way to tell the temp but alteast you can find out. What's he asking? Oh and they are 305 at the crank. They weren't like the 99 cobra that initially didn't put out what they claim. At the tires, 96-98's were ~265-270ish. -Mark

Mark, I appreciate the info. I've been doing some research on the year and had read about that on modularfords.com. He hasn't stated a price on the car yet, I just happened to catch him outside one day, were talking about their move and I asked if he ever considered selling it.. He was interested, but didn't offer up a price, (said they both have company cars, need the money more than the car, blah, blah, blah) so playing the game right now.. will check back as I run into him later in the week to see if he has a price in mind. Only going to pursue it if it's a worthwhile price (i.e. 8k or less). If not, it's just more money to get the 70 done quicker...
